Cannabis Seized From Vehicle!

Beat Officers this evening stopped a vehicle in the layby of A20, Hothfield after information suggested it had been attending a location currently known to us, to be used for the purpose of drug supply. 

The driver of the vehicle was detained under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and subject to a search, as was the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, a small tin containing Cannabis Bud was located. This has since been seized for destruction.

The driver made a full admission at scene to the offence of Possession of Cannabis and was issued a Community Resolution at the roadside. 

The sale and use of illegal substances is considered as Anti-Social Behaviour due to the effect it can have on the community.
